Electric Collective seeks a proactive, positive and confident Account Manager to work across our continually expanding team and roster of global and Australian clients and projects at the forefront of youth and culture, fashion and design, and work collaboratively side by side our incredible, friendly and supportive team. This is a newly created role that will be integral to the continued growth and success of the business.
The Account Manager makes a proactive contribution to the results of each account, working efficiently and professionally to fulfil required activities, and contributes directly to help achieve set KPI targets for each client. They assist in all aspects of the day to day management of client accounts, driving the overall performance of the account and building strong client relations. An innate passion and interest across the industry is essential – proactively identifying new developments, trends, opportunities and relationships for both clients and agency at large.
The ideal candidate will have minimum 3 years PR experience and will work across a covetable roster of clients within fashion, F+B, travel, music and art. We are looking for someone who is passionate about PR, passionate about culture, colour, nightlife, fashion and making a change. You will be result-driven and take pride in your work, and you will be eager to share exciting ideas and learn from the greater team.
About the Role
Day to day you will have guidance from Senior Communications Specialist as well as direct and considered time with the Founder, who is looking to take on and mentor the right candidate. The role assists in all aspects of the management of clients accounts and will work efficiently to fulfil required media and client support activities.
Key Responsibilities (pending experience)
Providing support to your dedicated accounts
Assisting team with key comms to media and influencers on a day to day basis
Developing and providing feedback on the Australian media landscape throughout print, broadcast, digital and social media
Proactive pitching to target contacts for news, features, and event listings
Assisting with developing thorough media matrixes and ensuring all contacts are accurate and up to date
Coordinating media requests such as client interviews and photo opportunities where appropriate
Attending shoots, interviews and filming where appropriate
A comprehensive knowledge of each client, their competitors and the industry (music, fashion, art, travel and hospitality) as a whole and providing feedback to the greater team
Fulfilling editorial briefs accurately
Drafting copy for media materials including press releases, pitch emails and newsletters
Contributing creative ideas for events, creative mailers, strategies and pitches
Developing wrap reports for post events, campaigns and projects
Create draft documents for external client meetings, including agendas, WIPs and calendars, as well as building creative strategy documents where appropriate
Responsible for creating, updating and proving copy of a personal WIP and ability to manage own personal calendar
The ideal candidate will have
Minimum three years experience in Public Relations with strong media connections
Outstanding written and verbal communication
A strong work ethic and passion to learn
Strong creative and influencer contacts
High standards for your work and a professional attitude towards others
Broad knowledge of clients, media landscape, key media contacts and industry figures
Ability to meet deadlines
Experience in working with a team and the ability to work individually
Experience in developing relationships with clients, media and influencers
A positive can-do attitude
Strong personal time management skills
Genuine interest in lifestyle, fashion and culture, and pursuing a career in public relations
