Job Description
As a member of the Broadcast Commerce team, you will be responsible for maximising revenue generated from our broadcast regional television inventory.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop yield strategies, using detailed analysis of audience and inventory, to support the agreed revenue strategy of the National Sales team
- Communicate information with relevant stakeholders to ensure yield management objectives are being supported with appropriate inventory management processes.
- Maintain revenue management system inputs to support the revenue management strategy
- Maintain an overview of all corporate inventory commitments (including barter, contra and intercompany arrangements) and ensure delivery of these commitments is achieved within our broader yield and revenue trading objectives
- Optimise key clients campaign delivery in line with guaranteed revenue delivery across both handheld and automated campaigns
- Provide campaign management & trading guidance to sales team members as required, with outcomes guided by broader inventory and yield strategies
- Share insights, opportunities and potential concerns with key stakeholders in a positive manner
- Provide reporting and insights to the Commerce Management team regarding inventory usage, audience volatility, potential issues and opportunities
- Continually assess any further developmental requirements of our internal sales system and work with Technology stakeholders to develop, test & release supplementary functionality
- Develop a filler strategy, that delivers Traffic requirements and maximises utility of unsold inventory
Qualifications
Essential experience & skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver insightful reporting
- Previous experience within a revenue management role within an Australian media company (preferably TV) Previous experience with regional media marketplace a plus
- Experience using optimisation software and buying software
- Strong understanding of media analytics & measurement
- Ability to communicate information to various stakeholders in a tailored and
- appropriate style
- Strong attention to detail and advanced Excel skills
Desirable experience & skills
- Leadership experience within a small team
- Experience in the management & administration of software systems
- Experience with BI tools
