Why should I list my role with Pedestrian Jobs? 

Pedestrian Jobs provides access to highly qualified and engaged candidates active across the Pedestrian Group network and beyond. As a fully integrated part of Pedestrian Group, Australia’s leading youth media brand, Pedestrian Jobs offers employers direct access to over 1m young Aussies every month across our web, social and email platforms.

What job ad type should I choose? 

Pedestrian Jobs offers three job ad types to suit different hiring budgets and role requirements. Use the guide below to determine which ad type suits your role. 

Standard Ad

The Standard Ad allows you to promote your role on Pedestrian Jobs and to be featured in our hiring companies page on site. This is the simplest, most cost-efficient way to help find the best talent.

Premium Ad 

Our most popular ad type maximises the reach of your ad listing as a ‘Featured’ listing on site and across pedestrian.tv, as well as in our Pedestrian Daily newsletter which reaches over 75,000 readers each day. This listing ensures you have the best opportunity to access the most qualified talent across our audience. 

Premium Plus Ad 

A Premium Plus ad allows you to leverage the strength of Pedestrian to reach the best talent. On top of all the features of the Premium Ad, your job will also feature on our Pedestrian Jobs social channels and in editorial content on Pedestrian.tv highlighting the best roles available on the platform. This is perfect for any role where you want to bring the role to life and ensure those high impact roles are filled.

How long does my listing stay active for? 

Your listing will stay active for 30 days on the Pedestrian Jobs website. 

How is my job listing promoted?

Your listing will be posted on the homepage of Pedestrian Jobs, within the search parameters and job category defined by your advertisement and on your dedicated hiring company page. 

Can I extend my job listing?

Yes, you can purchase a listing extension through the Employer Dashboard. Please select 'Extend your job listing' within your My Account menu and you will be directed to a payment page to complete the extension. Please provide details of the job (i.e. job title) where prompted, to allow our team to process your request. All listings will be charged at $99 unless you wish to access any of the benefits of our Premium or Premium Plus listings - in this instance, any extension will be charged at the standard rates for these products and can be done by reaching our to our team here.

What roles can I list with Pedestrian JOBS?

Pedestrian JOBS has helped teams recruit across a broad range of sectors. We specialise in roles in the creative, media and marketing sectors, but have also successfully helped source candidates in hospitality, entertainment and corporate jobs. Can I list an internship or work experience opportunity with Pedestrian JOBS?

Yes absolutely - to protect our advertisers and users we must ensure internship meets the guidelines set out by  Fair Work Australia.

The Fair Work guidelines outline the following requirement for an internship to be lawful:

  • The internship should be for the benefit of the intern not the company
  • The intern should not be doing work that would be otherwise done by a paid employee 
  • The more productive work that’s involved, the more likely the person’s an employee
  • The longer the internship, the more likely the person is an employee

Internships / work experience roles can be listed under any of our ad types: Standard, Premium, or Premium Plus.

All listings should include:

  • Hours or days a week required
  • Duration of the internship / work experience

If a listing does not comply with Fair Work requirements, Pedestrian JOBS reserves the right to take it down until the listing is updated to align with these guidelines.

What is a Featured listing on Pedestrian JOBS?

A Featured listing on Pedestrian JOBS is given additional promotion across the Pedestrian network. This includes being a highlighted role on Pedestrian Jobs site, being pinned to the top of the homepage (displayed in chronological order determined by the date and time of your posting) and included in our Features Jobs widget on pedestrian.tv for a 5 day period during your 30 day listing window. Your role will also be included in our Pedestrian Daily newsletter, which reaches 75,000 Pedestrian readers. 

How do I make my job a Featured listing? 

In order to include your role as a Featured listing on our jobs board, Pedestrian.tv and in the Pedestrian Daily newsletter, you would need to purchase a Premium or Premium Plus Ad listing. Please reach out to our team here if you need any support.

When will my job listing by included in Featured Jobs editorial content and on Pedestrian Jobs social media channels?

If you purchase a Premium Plus listing, Pedestrian Jobs will use its reasonable endeavours to place your advertisement on Pedestrian Jobs Instagram (www.instagram.com/pedestrianjobs) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/pedestrianjobs) pages within three business days from the date of purchase. Pedestrian Jobs will also use its reasonable endeavours to include your advertisement in the next available Featured Jobs editorial post on Pedestrian.tv, within three business days of purchase.

How do I review applicants for my listing? 

All applications can be viewed and managed on the Employer dashboard. To allow you to communicate with your candidates in the way that suits your recruitment teams best, all communication from the initial application takes place off Pedestrian Jobs via the channel of your choosing.

We manage all of our recruitment through an internal jobs board or a separate recruitment software. Is it possible to connect our listing to Pedestrian Jobs ?

Yes, it is possible when listing a role on Pedestrian Jobs for candidates to be redirected off platform to complete their application. You would still purchase a listing as normal and include all the role details on Pedestrian Jobs, to ensure you are reaching our audience. Where you are making multiple listings with Pedestrian Jobs, and make use of a talent acquisition platform, we may also be able to integrate with your jobs feed. I can’t sign in / I have forgotten my password 

Please go to the login page here and select ‘Forgot Your Password’ where you will be prompted to reset your password by entering the email address linked to your account. You will then be sent an email with instructions on how to reset your password.

How do I pay for my Job Listing? 

You will be directed to complete the transaction via Stripe, a third party payment platform. You will then receive separate emails with confirmation of your purchase and invoice.

Can I update our company page on site? 

When you list a role with Pedestrian Jobs, you will as standard be included on our hiring companies page on site. This will include your logo, website (where provided) and collate any live roles on a separate page. We are working on increased functionality to allow our most regular users to customise this space and demonstrate their employee value proposition on site. You can update the details for your company at any time by navigating to your account and selecting Company Profile. 

Where can I see what active job listing products I have available? 

Details of any active job listings or purchased Job Bundles, including confirmation of how many listings remain to be used from each bundle, can be found in the My Products section of your employer account. 

Where can I see billing details for my prior purchases on Pedestrian Jobs? 

Tax invoices for job listing / bundle purchases made on Pedestrian JOBS can be viewed from an Employer account by navigating to your account and selecting Billing. Please note any purchases made prior to the relaunch of Pedestrian JOBS on 28 October 2024 will not be visible on the platform. 

How do I close my account? 

You can delete your account at any time by navigating to the My Account tab within your employer account and selecting Delete Account at the bottom of the page.

JOB BUNDLES

How do Job Bundles work? 

Job Bundles are a pre-paid budget that you can use to post job ads at a discount. Simply choose the bundle that suits you, either 5 or 10 listings, and complete payment. You can then use your bundle to post jobs at a discount by visiting the My Products page on your Employer account dashboard and selecting Post a Job from the  Actions drop down for the chosen bundle. If you have already purchased multiple Job listings or Bundles, you will be able to see these all on the same My Products page. 

Where do I see how many job ads I have remaining to use from a Job Bundle?

Details of any Job Bundle purchases, including confirmation of how many remain to be used, can be found in the My Products section of your employer account. 

How long do I have to use up my Jobs Bundle?

You have 12 months from the date of purchase to utilise your job listings (the Bundle Term)

Can my unusued job listings be carried forward?

All unused listings will expire at the end of the Bundle Term 

Can I request a refund if I don’t use all of my job listings within 12 months?

There are no refunds on unused job listings.

Can I share bundles with colleagues in the same company

At this time, bundles can only be purchased and used by the same user account. However, if you have colleagues who wish to list a role please contact us and our team will be happy to see how we can support them.

How do I change or update my profile?

You can update your profile by accessing the Job Seeker Dashboard.

How do I create a Job Alert? 

Sign up for Daily / Weekly Job alerts via the form at the bottom of the homepage. Enter your email address and Subscribe. This will provide regular updates to you on all new opportunities listed on Pedestrian JOBS. 

How do I sign up to the Pedestrian Daily newsletter?

Select the checkbox for additional Careers Advice and alerts for featured roles on Pedestrian JOBS via Pedestrian’s Daily Newsletter at the bottom of the homepage.

How do I unsubscribe from Pedestrian Job emails?

You can unsubscribe from any email or notification by clicking ‘Unsubscribe’ in the bottom of email communications.

How do I upload or update my resume? 

You can update your resume by accessing the Job Seeker Dashboard.

What details of mine can employers see?

Employers may have access to view any information you add to your Professional Profile, via the Dashboard, along with any details you submit via your Job Application (including full name, email, location, and resume).

What does Pedestrian Jobs do with my details?

Pedestrian Jobs takes your data seriously. We won’t provide your information to third parties. Please check our Privacy Policy for more details.

How do I report a suspicious, offensive or fraudulent job advertisment?

Please email jobs@pedestriangroup.com.au to report a suspicious, offensive or fraudulent job advertisment.

I can’t sign in / I have forgotten my password 

Please click on “Forgot Password” at the login screen to reset your account.
