About Us:
Mind Medicine Australia is a registered charity that helps to alleviate the suffering caused by mental illness in Australia through expanding the treatment options available to medical practitioners and their patients. We are building the ecosystem for establishing safe and effective psychedelic-assisted treatments to cure a range of mental illnesses.
Mind Medicine Australia is headed by social sector philanthropists and entrepreneurs Tania de Jong AM and Peter Hunt AM.
The organisation has four core strategies: awareness building and education; the development of a world-leading Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies (CPAT) training program (we have had over 600 graduates go through this transformational program); all the logistics involved with rolling out these new treatments (regulatory barriers, legal and ethical frameworks, protocols, standard operating practices, training manuals, clinic rollouts, trials, building the economic case and so on) to increase patient access and funding research initiatives.
MMA made global history through our successful rescheduling applications for psilocybin and MDMA making Australia the first nation in the world to reschedule these medicines for clinical use in 2023.
The Role
Mind Medicine Australia (MMA) is seeking a highly capable and hands-on Manager of Digital Marketing and Content to lead the execution of digital marketing, content creation, and brand and event communications.
This is a practical, execution-focused role, responsible for delivering high-quality marketing outputs across multiple platforms and brands.
The role is primarily focused on Mind Medicine Australia (MMA), while also supporting aligned partner organisations including Creative Universe, Pot-Pourri, Tania de Jong AM, and Heartland Retreats, requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities and brand contexts simultaneously.
Core Responsibilities
Corporate & Brand Collateral
- Develop and produce professional corporate documents and marketing materials
- Ensure brand consistency and quality across all outputs and platforms
- Update and maintain print collateral and digital brand assets as required
Digital Content Creation
- Design and produce ads, graphics, and video content across digital platforms
- Create content for websites, social media, EDMs, and marketing campaigns
- Edit video content and develop visual assets aligned with brand and campaign objectives
Paid Advertising (Meta)
- Set up, manage, and optimise paid Meta (Facebook & Instagram) advertising campaigns
- Monitor performance and implement improvements to maximise engagement and results
Website & Digital Platforms
- Make basic updates to WordPress websites, including content and layout changes
- Collaborate with web developers on design mockups and website improvements
Agency & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with external agencies, designers, developers, and printers
- Ensure timely delivery and high-quality output across all marketing activities
Social Media Management
- Plan, create, and schedule social media content calendars
- Engage with relevant communities and manage platform interactions
- Monitor messages and comments, responding or escalating where required
Creative Collaboration
- Collaborate with designers and stakeholders on campaign concepts and creative direction
- Contribute ideas to improve content performance and audience engagement
Digital Asset Management
- Maintain organised image, video, and content libraries
- Ensure all assets are accessible, up-to-date, and consistently managed
Administrative & Event Support
- Support broader administrative tasks related to marketing and communications across the organisations
- Assist with event setup and coordination where required
Key Selection Criteria
Essential
- Minimum 5-10 years demonstrated experience in digital marketing and content creation across multiple platforms
- Strong experience in social media management, including content planning, scheduling, and engagement
- Hands-on capability in graphic design and video editing
- Ability to make basic updates to WordPress websites and collaborate with web developers on design mockups and improvements
- Experience setting up, managing, and optimising paid Meta (Facebook & Instagram) advertising campaigns
- Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (including Premiere Pro), Canva, WordPress, and similar platforms
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g. social media scheduling tools, email platforms, analytics tools)
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and consistently meet tight deadlines
- Calm, grounded, and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects across different brands simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Willingness to support broader administrative and operational tasks as required, including updating print collateral, digital assets, and supporting event setup
Desirable
- Experience in not-for-profit and/or healthcare sectors
- Supportive interest and knowledge of MMA’s work in psychedelic-assisted therapies
