About the role
We are looking for multiple Marketing & Communications Volunteers to join our Marketing & Communications Unit, to support the delivery of marketing and PR campaigns, content, and internal communications. The position would be tailored to your skills and interests and can be based remotely or at our office in Woolloomooloo.
Key tasks of the position
- Writing, editing and coordinating marketing and PR materials
- Supporting the team with media tracking and reporting
- Creating, editing and optimising content for Cancer Council’s blog, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube accounts (e.g. in Premiere Pro and Canva)
- Supporting the Graphic Designer with creative development in Canva
- Providing support with execution of the internal communications plan
- Sourcing, contacting and writing up real life stories
- Assisting with any campaign media launch events
- General administrative assistance to the Marcomms Team as required that includes processing invoices
About you
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
- Experience using Canva and platform management tools like Hootsuite, Meta Business Manager
- Ability to communicate with a broad range of people
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to use initiative
- Strong attention to detail
Desirable
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro
