We are looking for a diamond Public Relations (PR) Consultant to organise and oversee earned and owned social media activities for clients as part of our independent Paddington-based agency.
As a Consultant, you should be an organised, unflappable professional with some creative juices and impressive communications skills. If you also have some shiny project management abilities and presentation skills, we’d love to meet you.
Working closely with a Senior Consultant, and reporting into a Business Director, Consultants at humann. are energetic and driven and possess several years of experience in a communications agency or similar environment. They can juggle and prioritise like a pro, with the support of their team.
The Consultant assists clients/project teams to deliver on a defined scope of work to achieve campaign objectives and/or ‘always on’ press office and social media KPIs. You like seeing results as much as we do.
Consultants are the glue in a team successfully completing client assignments and are responsible for managing projects within campaigns independently or in a supporting role (depending on the level of experience). They also are the day-to-day client contact, using those interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional client service and consistent communication.

Main duties and responsibilities
The Consultant is responsible for ensuring the task and activities they are assigned are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard. Specific duties include:
Media relations – earned and social:
· Overseeing and Managing media lists and databases
· Overseeing/compilating of daily media coverage and articles of interest, distributed to clients in a timely manner – and reviewed to identify relevant coverage/commentary opportunities
· Drafting evaluation reports
· Day-to-day media liaison, outreach and management to earn media for clients’ products and stories
· Being able to identify media and industry trends, identifying news hijacking ideas for clients
· Attends regular media “meet and greets” with other team members
· Assisting with or leading the coordination of media events, content shoots or influencer programs
· Writing across a range of styles including press releases and other communications materials including social media captions
· Creating, copy writing and posting of social media content across Meta, YouTube and LinkedIn for various clients – inline with client/campaign objectives
· Managing social media accounts with regular metrics reporting and evaluation to learn from results and inform next steps
· Input in social strategy and tactical recommendations to achieve reach and engagement metrics
Account administration:
· Having a solid understanding of clients’ businesses including their products and offerings, their markets and their competitors, in order to offer recommendations
· Attending team WIP meetings – preparing relevant updates and reporting on key responsibilities
· Attending and contributing to creative brainstorms across the agency portfolio
· Briefing and managing suppliers
· Undertaking appropriate research for programs and new business proposals
· Managing an intern or account junior where relevant
· Being able to clearly and confidently articulate campaign objectives, plus an ability to evaluate ideas against campaign objectives
· Identifying opportunities to grow existing clients
· In partnership with the senior client lead, develop client KPIs and (with the team) take responsibility to achieve these KPIs
