At MGI, we’re looking for a creative, commercially minded Social Media Content Creator to help bring our brand to life across digital channels.
This role is ideal for someone who combines formal marketing training with real-world experience creating content for social platforms. You understand the fundamentals of brand and marketing, but you’re also someone who can turn ideas into engaging content that feels current, platform-native and visually strong.
You’ll work across day-to-day content creation, social media execution and broader campaign support, with a strong focus on producing content that is on-brand, creative and effective.
What you’ll be doing
- Create, schedule and publish content across key social media platforms
- Develop social-first content ideas aligned to campaigns, seasonal moments and brand priorities
- Produce engaging written, visual and short-form video content
- Brief, capture, edit or coordinate content for use across social channels
- Monitor social trends, formats and platform best practice to keep content fresh and relevant
- Work with the broader team to support campaign rollouts and digital marketing activity
- Track content and channel performance, and use insights to improve future content
- Help maintain consistency of brand voice and visual identity across all social content
You will have
- A formal tertiary qualification in Marketing or Digital Marketing is essential
- Some professional experience in a similar social media, content or marketing role
- Proven ability to create content for social platforms in a professional environment
- Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn and how content differs across channels
- Good visual and creative judgement, with the ability to spot what makes content engaging
- Experience writing social copy that is clear, on-brand and audience-appropriate
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple priorities
- A proactive mindset with the ability to contribute ideas, not just execute briefs
In addition, experience in the following will be highly regarded
- Experience working within Meta and Trello (or similar platforms)
- Experience using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar
- Experience supporting brand or campaign marketing activity
- Familiarity with content planning, reporting and social analytics
