The communications team plays a key role in amplifying their impact and engaging with diverse communities across Victoria and beyond.
The opportunity
A newly created opportunity within a growing Communications, Engagement and Advocacy team. Reporting to a senior communications leader, this is a hands-on role with a broad creative scope.
Key areas of focus:
- Create video, photo, and written content for social and web
- Deliver and evolve the social media and digital plan
- Run campaigns that support visibility and engagement
- Monitor community sentiment and respond or escalate
- Build networks to uncover strong content opportunities
- Stay across trends and platform developments.
This is a full-time ongoing role based in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. At the employer’s discretion, there is flexibility for hybrid work.
Some travel required – the organisation operates across multiple sites and regions.
About you
You’re a confident social media manager with proven storytelling skills and a strong track record of creating compelling content that resonates.
Ideally you’ve worked in health, the community sector, or another significant public sector setting - and understand the tone, responsibility, and care that come with representing a trusted organisation in the public eye.
You bring:
- Confidence creating engaging, high-quality video content
- Strong writing and storytelling skills tailored for digital
- Experience managing social media channels in complex settings
- Familiarity with tools like Meta, Google Analytics, Canva, Adobe
- Demonstrated growth of audiences, especially LinkedIn/Instagram
- Excellent time management, accuracy and attention to detail.
