Brand Manager – FUNDAY
FUNDAY Sweets is on a mission to redefine the confectionery category with better-for-you, deliciously fun lollies.
We’re seeking an experienced and digital-savvy Brand Manager to lead the charge in growing our brand presence across digital and retail channels.
This full-time role is based in Melbourne’s South East suburbs, working in-office three days per week. It’s a 12-month maternity leave cover, however, with our business continuing to experience massive growth, this role has the potential to evolve and there’s scope for the right candidate to explore ongoing opportunities within the team.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director as their 2IC, you will be responsible for driving brand awareness and growth with a strong focus on digital channels; enhancing our brand presence, and creating meaningful connections with our audience. In this dynamic environment, you’ll be managing a team of 2; our social media manager and content creator and several partner agencies allowing you to play a key role in shaping strategic direction while staying hands-on in execution.

What you’ll be doing
- Brand Management: You'll take the lead in shaping the way our brand connects with customers, developing and executing brand plans to strengthen FUNDAY’s positioning and increase market share across eCommerce and retail channels. This will involve briefing agencies & our internal design team to develop and manage creative assets and copy across all brand assets. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to plans for global expansion, ensuring that FUNDAY is primed for success on an international scale.
- Digital Marketing: You’ll lead the creation and execution of best-in-class digital campaigns from paid media to email marketing and influencer collaborations. You will oversee the development of engaging, on-brand content across digital platforms to connect with our audience and amplify reach, deliver strong ROAS, improve exposure and drive conversions across all digital channels to hit sales KPI’s.
- eCommerce Growth: You will be responsible for driving growth on our DTC platform, leveraging analytics to optimise conversion rates, user experience, and performance marketing. Using a customer-first, data-driven approach, you will lead and optimise our subscription program to build customer loyalty and deliver an exceptional brand experience.
- Trade Marketing: You will be highly engaged and collaborative with our sales and retail partners to execute shopper marketing initiatives, in-store activations, and trade promotions that put FUNDAY front and centre.
- Data-Driven Insights: You will be highly data driven, analysing consumer trends, campaign performance, and market data to consistently improve the way we connect with our customers and optimise marketing spend.
- Team Leadership: You’ll mentor and inspire your team and agencies to produce bold, creative work that sets FUNDAY apart.
- Collaboration & Budgeting: You’ll be a team player, closely working with sales, product development, our design team and external agencies to deliver cohesive marketing initiatives while managing & tracking marketing spend to budget.
What we’re looking for
We want someone who challenges the status quo, thinks big, and delivers results. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Experience: 5+ years in brand marketing with a strong digital and eCommerce focus (Retail, FMCG, or DTC preferred).
- Digital Expertise: Proven success scaling and optimising paid social, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and loyalty programs. High-level proficiency or familiarity across digital tools & platforms (Meta, Adobe suite, Klaviyo, Shopify, Microsoft suite etc)
- eCommerce Know-How: Deep understanding of customer journeys, eCommerce platforms (Shopify), and online/offline integration. Proven success scaling and optimising paid social, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and loyalty or subscription programs.
- Retail/FMCG Success: Strong track record in shopper marketing, trade promotions, and driving in-store visibility.
- Analytical & Creative: A numbers-driven problem solver with a creative streak and an eye for detail.
- Leadership Skills: Experience managing and mentoring team members, fostering collaboration, and delivering results.
- Hands-On Approach: A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and the ability to balance strategy with execution.
