Our business started three years ago as Pasta Poetry, focusing on fresh pasta meal kits. Recently, we rebranded our consumer offering to Allegria. Today, our production kitchen is in Melbourne, where we operate our retail shopfront and deliver fresh pasta across Melbourne.
We are ambitious in the space and want to become Australia's number-one brand in fresh pasta. We will do this by opening selective eateries and production kitchens in major Australian cities whilst continuing to grow our footprint online and in grocers.
Our wholesale arm, still trading as Pasta Poetry, is vital to our growth. We supply from high-end restaurants to national healthcare chains with fresh pasta products that meet their consumers’ needs.
This role focuses on growing and managing our wholesale/B2B accounts. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for food and an honest approach to onboarding more customers to go on the journey with us. Some of the key responsibilities in this role:
Growth:
- Pitching: Create and deliver high-quality, professional presentations to potential customers and confidently discuss products and solutions.
- Proactive business development and relationship building: Independently and proactively outreach to gain meetings and build rapport with stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Research: Independently search for new opportunities, learn about the businesses in depth, map the stakeholders and understand their decision-making process.
- Technology: Have a good understanding of our ordering platforms and websites.
- Offerings: We work closely with our chefs and retail managers to develop innovative products to share with our clients.
Management:
- Account Management of all customers: autonomy in managing our portfolio of customers and ensuring the relationship is strong and business KPIs are met.
- Account Growth: developing strategies to grow our accounts and working with the customers to increase the product range and location coverage.
- Operations: Support our team with interstate logistics and communication with third parties.
We require:
· Experience in the Australian food industry, whether in retail, restaurants or as a chef, is essential.
· Business Development / Sales skills, demonstrating an ability to make connections, create rapport, nurture and win business by selling a proposition to various senior stakeholders.
· Ability to lead negotiations skilfully and create and deliver high-impact pitches.
· You’re a master communicator, you know when to speak, you know how to listen, and you know how to engage a whole room and keep their attention.
· Experience with the implementation of new workflows, including IT systems.
