Job Description
The Network Control department primarily assists the studios and other departments with coordination and technical supervision of television and related data signal transmissions.
In this role, you will report to the Master Control Supervisor and your daily responsibilities will include:
- Service the Network Control and signal needs of internal and external productions, studios and outside broadcasts
- Support large scale events and breaking news
- Assist in the smooth day to day operation of the Network Control Room
- Work equipment requiring complex routing and signal flow operations
- Setup and operate various broadcast equipment
- Effectively run the network control room and completion of all bookings
- Assist in maintaining the continuity and quality of Nines transmission
This role works in a rotational shift-based team environment. This includes regular weekends, nights and public holidays
Qualifications
What we would like to see on your resume:
- Proven experience as a Master Control Operator or equivalent role
- Knowledge of television transmission principles, formats and workflows
- Knowledge of precision instruments to measure vision and audio parameters
- Ability to work under the pressure of a “live”, dynamically changing environment.
- Computer literacy
- Technical adaptability
- Knowledge of production procedures, terminology, and equipment operation
