About the Role

We’re offering an incredible opportunity for a Junior Videographer Intern to join our team for a 6-month position. 

This paid internship is perfect for someone passionate about video production, eager to learn advanced techniques, and ready to unleash their creativity in a supportive yet challenging environment.  You’ll be directly involved in various aspects of video production, from strategy and storyboarding to production and post-production collaboration.

The videos you create will get millions of views every month with real-time data on engagement to help you make decisions on future creative.

 

Role responsibilities range in nature and complexity, with key components including:

  • Collaborate on video strategies with guidance from our Founder, bringing fresh and engaging ideas to the table.
  • Craft digital storyboards for each content piece, ensuring a clear narrative, and visual flow.
  • Handle pre-shoot preparations, including location scouting, shot lists, equipment preparation, talent bookings, equipment hire and prop organisation.
  • Lead shoots including scene set-up, lighting, audio + video, talent direction and shot list management to ensure all content is captured.  
  • Brief our in-house Video Editor after each shoot and provide guidance on drafts and refine the final product for high-performing video ads.

 

You will be trained and closely guided throughout each project by the Founder and Head of Marketing.

The position is work-from-home with availability to attend Sunshine Coast shoots and creative brainstorming sessions (once or twice monthly).  As a result, the ideal candidate will be based in or around the Sunshine Coast or Brisbane.

A full-time, long-term position will be offered at the end of the internship if successful.

 

About You

In addition to the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balance multiple priorities, work under pressure and meet strict deadlines we are seeking applications from candidates with the following skills and characteristics:

  • Intermediate ability in camera operation (DSLR, iPhone etc), audio, and lighting equipment to create high-quality video content
  • Creativity and ability to generate innovative ideas for video content.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with creatives and non-creatives alike.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail for pre-shoot preparation and on-set management.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt, with a proactive approach to taking on new challenges.
  • Willingness to learn and apply advanced video production techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Focused on metrics from videos and ensuring marketing metrics guide video strategy
  • Commercial acumen
  • Able to analyse data from Marketing team and make data-driven decisions
  • Dogged resourcefulness and problem-solving

 

What You’ve Done:

The following experience is required (or in some cases desired) for this role:

  • 1+ years experience in videography from creative strategy to on-site production
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in video production, whether through coursework, personal projects, or internships, is advantageous.
