Job Description:

As a Social Media Coordinator at Planet Protector, you will play a vital role in developing and executing our social media strategy to enhance brand awareness, engage with our audience, and drive meaningful interactions. 

You will be responsible for managing our social media accounts, creating compelling content, monitoring online conversations, and analysing performance metrics to optimise our social media efforts.  This is an exciting role with an immediate start and flexible hours, based at our office in Silverwater, Western Sydney.

About the Role:

Content Creation:

• Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
• Create engaging content for various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align content with overall marketing campaigns and initiatives.
• Create a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and timely responses.

Social Media Management:

• Manage and monitor social media accounts, responding to comments, messages, and mentions promptly and in line with the company’s tone and guidelines.
• Stay updated on industry trends, knowledgeable about the environment and emerging social media platforms to maintain a competitive edge.

Audience Engagement:

• Interact with followers and respond to comments/messages in a timely manner.
• Monitor social media conversations related to our brand and industry, actively participating in relevant discussions.

Analytics and Reporting:

• Track key performance metrics, such as engagement, reach, clicks, and conversions, and compile regular reports to assess the effectiveness of social media efforts.
• Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to the social media strategy.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
• Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledgeable about the environment is highly regarded.
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Basic graphic design skills are a plus.
• Knowledge of SEO and content marketing is a bonus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
