Social Media Content Creator

The Opportunity

Our Brand and Creative team is a skilled group of campaign strategists, designers and brand marketers, working to elevate the shopping experience for pet families across Australia. We are looking for a passionate Social Media Content Coordinator to join our team in a newly created position to support the expansion of our social team and help increase engagement and brand awareness across both organic and paid social channels.

In this role, you will work across the full eco-system of social networks – from organic content, paid campaigns, community management, to influencers and creators. This role works to support both community engagement and paid reach campaigns across TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. As part of our  in-house  team, you will develop social media content in our studio, office, warehouse and at home to support new and interesting products, top performing categories, supplier marketing, the Vet Squad, and business adjacencies, such as Pet Circle Insurance.

Key to this role will be managing the day-to-day content creation across social platforms, including developing content ideas, bringing ideas to life by creating fast lo-fi videos and executing across organic and paid platforms. You will also play a key role in building and coordinating our content creator and Influencer program to support in-house content.  Working hand-in-hand with our PR and Organic Social Media Manager, as well as other key team members this is a cross-functional role, where you will be able to bring your social expertise to support wider business goals. 

To be successful in this role you’ll need a minimum of 2+ years in an integrated marketing agency, PR agency, retail brand or media outlet managing social media accounts, have excellent content creation skills AND you must love animals!!Your Responsibilities

• Evolve and bring to life the social media strategy
• Manage social media content creation, including shoot production for low-fi content with the support of the Organic Social Manager and Producer
• Film and edit social media videos using CapCat, quickly turning around content to jump on platform trends
• Manage our social media content calendar, including scheduling and uploading content to our social media accounts via Hootsuite following our content strategy
• Coordinate our Content Creator and Influencer program, including finding new creators and supporting them with content creation
• Lead the day-to-day management of paid social media ads across TikTok/Meta and support with post copy
• Prepare and execute weekly and monthly reports, deriving actionable insights to present to the wider team 
• Support our customer experience team with social media community management
• Collaborate with the wider marketing team and partner agencies to develop social media campaigns in line with key sales and integrated campaigns
• Support the Organic Social Manager across external content briefs
• Manage product ordering for shoots and content creators

What you’ll need

• Social media management experience and user experience across TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest
• Strong creative and copywriting skills
• Strong project management and planning skills 
• Ability to film and edit content
• Organisational skills – the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrate a passion to do great, innovative work and inspire others
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
• Excellent attention to detail

Role Location

At Pet Circle we believe that collaboration and team connection is key for success. This role will be based in Sydney with a blended working arrangement of 3 days in our pet friendly CBD offices and the remainder working from home (or the office, if you prefer!). Once or twice a month, travel may be required to our Eastern Creek Warehouse in NSW or Crestmead office in QLD to capture content.
