Design Team Intern

We are looking for a highly proactive, passionate and creative Fashion Intern to join our Design Teamlocated in Chipping Norton, NSW. This is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge in the fashion industry and gain insight into the full view of Design & Production process in women’s apparel and accessories.

Below is a list of the required intern duties however, there will definitely be opportunities for you to contribute more to the team depending on your performance, efficiency and ability to manage these existing duties. These opportunities include sitting in on merchandise and fitting meetings, attend and help in seasonal campaign photo-shoots, assist in in-house photoshoots and much more.

Key learning opportunities include:

• Exposure across the product development process from creation to production, sales and more; including technical mark-ups, fabric selection, artworks and prints, sampling and more!
• Learning to develop and design ranges including sketching and technical and developing and designing artworks and prints
• Learning about seasonal trend research and development
• Exposure to photoshoot, fittings and merchandise meetings
• Working collaboratively with our Designers and broader Design team!

A successful applicant must have the below qualities:

• A LOVE for the brand
• Studying or graduated from a design related course
• Proficient in Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
• Creative and innovative
• Team player with a supportive attitude 
• Perform well in a fast-paced environment

Must be available at least 1-2 days per week (flexibility provided) for a minimum of 3 months with an immediate start. This position is unpaid. Performance, productivity, efficiency and contribution to the team will highly be regarded be if a permanent position becomes available.

Internship can be accredited to relevant tertiary degree/study requirements. Performance referrals at completion of internship available upon request. Own laptop is preferred but not mandatory.
