Purpose:

Thinking Loud’s PR & Experiential work gives young Australians access to ground-breaking artists, culturally intelligent content and curated brand experiences.

Clients include brands such as Red Bull, SXSW Sydney, Absolut, Jameson, Young Henrys, Impressed Recordings and Lost Paradise, as well as a roster of artists and creatives that features the likes of Royel Otis, Genesis Owusu, Sampa the Great, Jorja Smith, AJ Tracey, Bad Apples Music, Cub Sport, Ruel, Flight Facilities and more.

This contract role of Account Manager / Publicist is to provide project management across key projects at Thinking Loud, primarily focusing on event, entertainment and consumer brand accounts, as well as some independent artists and record label accounts. This role will also be accountable for leading the junior team (Account Coordinator/s) to deliver outstanding results for our clients. There is the potential for this contract to be ongoing, pending upcoming work. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing client contact, responsible for managing day-to-day expectations and requests of agency clients, primarily covering consumer brand and event / entertainment accounts, and occasionally working on independent artists and record label brand accounts
  • Responsible for end to end management of key PR projects and retained client accounts
  • Proactively manage & lead WIP meetings (client and internal)
  • Work with cross-functional, in-house teams and contract staff to plan and implement innovative, creative PR campaigns in line with set KPIs
  • Work closely and collaboratively with media to deliver considered, top-tier editorial output across music, lifestyle, pop culture and consumer tech publishers
  • Monitor performance of the activities undertaken to ensure all projects remain on track for a successful rollout.
  • Monitor expenditure on client accounts and budget planning.
  • Proactively manage and maintain internal agency process documents and tools, including WIP documents, run sheets, worksheets, timelines, KPI trackers and content schedules are updated
  • Provide support at all relevant agency events, including out of hours and weekend activities when requested
  • Lead on client reporting, ensuring agency tools are up to date to allow timely and effective client communication and campaign evaluation
  • Supervising and advising junior staff members and interns within your team.

Skills & requirements:

  • Minimum 3-4 years PR, label or agency experience
  • Passion for music and culture
  • Proven experience managing client relationships and developing effective communication strategies
  • Experience delivering in a fast-paced environment displaying logical thinking, forward planning and the ability to identify, flag and solve problems 
  • Exceptional coordination, administration, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work autonomously
