Job Description
We are looking for a Business Intelligence & Audience Analytics Manager to join the Pedestrian team as we build out our data capability and implement an insights driven culture across our teams.
Connecting the dots between our content, product, sales and marketing efforts, this role will operate as a key business partner for our Audience, Strategy and Commercial teams. Key responsibilities include delivering timely and accurate insights, creating and managing reporting solutions, and delivering recommendations to help drive content performance, investment decisions and audience and commercial growth.
Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer and a member of our Operations & Technology team. This role will also work closely with our Head of Editorial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generating insights for editorial, commercial and strategic projects
- Assist in implementing editorial growth strategies across SEO, Social and eDM
- Providing insight on content performance, traffic and rankings
- Developing a deep understanding of user behaviour across all Pedestrian platforms and identifying opportunities to deepen reach and engagement
- Supporting ad-hoc insights and audience / market research projects
- Working with our Commercial teams to develop go-to-market collateral and respond to commercial briefs with key audience and performance insights
- Presenting insights, strategies and recommendations to the leadership team and key stakeholders
- Delivering accurate and timely reports across audience and revenue, collaborating with our Technology team in creating automated reporting solutions
- A customer first approach
- Tracking outcomes against key cross-department performance indicators
- Ensuring adherence to data governance principles
Qualifications
- Proven experience within data analysis, audience growth or business intelligence roles
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a quantitative area
- Experienced with Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform
- Strong reporting and visualisation skills (preferably experienced working with Looker Studio)
- Advanced critical thinking, analytical and communication skills
- Experience designing and analysing quantitative and qualitative research projects
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment across multiple priorities
- Preferred experience in a media, publishing or technology role
- Desirable to have a good understanding of key publishing (e.g.) and / or commercial tools and data sets (e.g. Google Search Console, Google Analytics, IPSOS, Parsley, SEMrush, Supermetrics, Buffer, Later, Discover, Top Stories, Google Ad Manager, Salesforce)
- Experience with executing SEO, social and / or eDM content strategies is also beneficial
