ole Overview:
As a Vision Switcher, you will play a key role in the smooth execution of live broadcasts, ensuring that vision switching between camera feeds, graphics, and video sources happens seamlessly in real time.
Responsibilities:
- Operate vision switching software during live broadcasts.
- Switch between different camera angles, graphics, and video feeds in real time to ensure a smooth, engaging viewer experience.
- Work closely with the director, producer, and other team members to ensure broadcast timing and transitions are accurate.
- Monitor and troubleshoot any issues during the live broadcast to minimise interruptions.
- Stay ahead of the game with a deep understanding of sports and motorsports, ensuring that the broadcast covers all important moments and dynamics.
- Adapt quickly to changes in broadcast direction or last-minute alterations during a live broadcast.
- Maintain high production values throughout fast-paced live environments.
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Vision Switcher or in a similar broadcast/technical role.
- Knowledge of Livestream Studio, vMix, Atem or similar switching programs.
- A keen interest in and passion for sports, particularly motorsports.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle live broadcast stress.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for timing and transitions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to travel for live sporting events, including weekends and evenings.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience with live sports broadcasts or motorsports events.
- Familiarity with multi-camera setups and live broadcast equipment.
- Experience with live streaming platforms and other broadcast tools.
- A basic understanding of audio/video mixing and broadcast standards
The role will be at events in Ipswich and Coffs Harbour - travel included from major capital cities, accommodation, ground transport and per diem provided.
