About the role
The Publicity Co-ordinator is the glue that holds the PR team together. We are a hardworking, fun, dynamic team and we’re looking for someone who will roll up their sleeves and help us get the job done.
Key to the success of this role is the ability to work well across multiple tasks projects and consistently meet deadlines. As the first point of contact for general PR enquiries we rely on our co-ordinator to manage enquiries from A&U authors, media, booksellers, and event organisers in a warm, professional manner. We’re looking for someone with excellent organisation and communication skills, and someone who is keen to learn!
You will in turn join a fantastic industry and learn from some of the best. Expect to be trained in Publishing and PR from the ground up. Would suit recent university graduate or someone working in a bookstore.
If successful, you will:
- Be a team player; share industry updates, participate in team sessions, work in a positive and collaborative way.
- Show initiative and a hands-on approach to ongoing team projects.
- Possess exceptional time management skills. All duties should be carried out with accuracy, efficiency and timeliness.
- Read! We love well informed, enthusiastic readers.
- Be interested in the media – listen to podcasts, read magazines, stay across the news.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Treat all colleagues, customers and suppliers with respect.
- Demonstrate a reliable and flexible approach to workload and deadlines.
Candidates need to be based in based in Sydney where our offices are a short two minute walk from the Crows Nest metro station.
