Our Mission

We exist to inspire, entertain and inform young Australians, bringing them the stories they want across all of their interests from popular culture to tech, business to gaming, fashion to entertainment, politics to lifestyle.

Our Values

Fearless We dive in, dig deep and ask the tough questions. We are not afraid of the unfamiliar.

Hungry We eat challenges for breakfast and tackle the hard topics head on, delivering our audience the content they want and deserve.

Real We use our reach to champion inclusivity and diversity, and we’re straight-up with our audience. Zero percent bullshit, one hundred percent of the time is our motto.

Our world class editorial team is strictly committed to creating content that is original, accurate and balanced, and representative of the Pedestrian Group values. All content published across our sites and off site platforms should present factual material that has been responsibly researched and reported.

In order to bring our audiences the most accurate, up-to-date news in real-time, our editors and writers reserve the right to update content and/or correct errors that have already been published. Each brand has their own best practices for making updates known to the reader, you can find them below.

Identifying Affiliate Content

Pedestrian Group publishes links to various retailers as part of our reporting, particularly within product reviews produced by our Affiliate team and Lifehacker Coupons. These are wholly independent of any reviews written by our editorial team, which abides by a strict editorial policy. To learn more about our Affiliate policy, click here.

Advertising/Commercial Content

What we write, cover and create is determined by the Pedestrian Group editorial team, and is in no way influenced by advertisers or brand partners. Editors and writers do not share links with or seek feedback from clients prior to publishing content.

While editors may lend a hand in the ideation of commercial concepts, the creation/execution of commercial content is the responsibility of the native team, and sits independently of the editorial team.

Conflicts of Interest: Gifts/Payments/Travel

The Pedestrian Group editorial team works to avoid conflicts of interest at all times. Editors and writers do not accept payment from individuals or companies in exchange for editorial coverage. Similarly, while staff may accept gifts, we only do so without guaranteeing coverage.

When it comes to covering press trips that have been paid for by a brand or partner, the circumstances must be clearly disclosed to the reader in any subsequent coverage, and the reporting should be honest and unbiased.

Inclusivity and Diversity

To ensure our audience sees themselves fairly and accurately represented across the Pedestrian Group brands, our editors and writers make a conscious effort to engage talent, spotlight stories and select imagery that is diverse and inclusive.
