Job Summary

We are looking for a creative, organised and commercially aware Art Marketing Specialist to support the promotion of artists, artworks, exhibitions and art-related projects across digital channels.

This role focuses on digital marketing campaigns, social media management, content coordination, audience development, market research, email marketing and campaign performance reporting.

This is a fully remote position. All daily tasks, meetings and reporting will be completed through online systems, shared platforms and approved communication tools. The successful candidate must be based in Australia, maintain reliable internet access and remain responsive during agreed working hours.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing Campaigns

Assist in planning, coordinating and delivering digital marketing campaigns for artists, artworks, exhibitions and creative projects

Maintain campaign schedules, task lists, approval records and promotional timelines

Coordinate campaign materials and ensure required content is completed before publication

Monitor campaign progress and report delays, missing information or content issues

Social Media Management

Prepare, schedule and publish content across approved social media platforms

Maintain social media calendars and records of published content

Write engaging captions and promotional copy in line with brand and campaign guidelines

Monitor audience engagement, comments, enquiries and content performance

Identify relevant content formats, topics and engagement opportunities

Content Development

Assist in developing written and visual content for artist profiles, artwork features, exhibitions, newsletters, websites and social media

Coordinate with artists and internal team members to collect biographies, artwork details, images and promotional information

Review content for accuracy, tone, formatting and consistency

Organise images, videos, written materials and other digital assets

Artist and Project Promotion

Support the promotion of artists, collections, exhibitions, online showcases and art-related events

Prepare artist introductions, artwork descriptions and promotional summaries

Ensure artist and artwork information is accurately presented across approved marketing channels

Assist in developing promotional concepts that reflect each artist’s style, audience and positioning

Audience Development

Research potential audiences, communities, collectors, creative organisations and relevant industry networks

Identify suitable digital channels and promotional opportunities for different projects

Assist in developing initiatives to increase reach, engagement and audience retention

Maintain organised records of approved contacts, partnerships and campaign audiences

Website and Online Content Support

Assist in updating artist profiles, artwork details, exhibition information and marketing content on websites or online platforms

Check published information for accuracy, consistency and presentation quality

Report outdated information, broken links or content errors to the relevant team member

Support basic search engine optimisation activities where required

Market and Competitor Research

Conduct research on art market trends, digital campaigns, exhibitions, galleries and audience behaviour

Monitor relevant competitor and industry activity

Collect examples of effective art marketing campaigns and content approaches

Prepare clear research summaries for internal review

Marketing Analytics and Reporting

Collect campaign data from social media, email, website and other approved platforms

Update campaign trackers, spreadsheets and performance reports

Assist in preparing weekly or monthly summaries covering reach, engagement, audience growth and campaign activity

Highlight unusual results, missing information or performance changes for further review

Administrative Support

Maintain marketing documents, campaign records, content calendars and shared folders

Ensure digital files are properly named, classified and easy to retrieve

Assist with other reasonable marketing and administrative duties related to art projects

Job Requirements

Recent graduates with relevant skills, internships or portfolio work are welcome to apply

Genuine interest in art, culture, creative industries or visual communication

Basic understanding of social media marketing and digital content

Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or other content creation tools will be an advantage

Good attention to detail and ability to review written and visual materials accurately

Strong organisational and time-management skills

Able to manage multiple tasks and meet agreed deadlines

Able to work independently while maintaining regular communication with the team

Must have reliable internet access and a suitable remote working environment

Must have the legal right to work in Australia

Previous experience in digital marketing, art promotion, social media, content creation, gallery marketing or creative project coordination will be an advantage
