PEDESTRIAN.TV and Dell have teamed up to open the doors to its XPS Open Studio and hand over creative direction to everyday people. For this brief, we asked creatives with a range of skills and expertise who are Musicians, Songwriters and Producers to help write an anthem dedicated to self-expression.

SSU aka Christiaan Toailoa

SSU is a Producer and Beatmaker from Otahuhu, Auckland. Exposure to Hip Hop music as a child, working with Youth in Community music programs, would drive the growth of his Career as a Hiphop Producer.  Working with an array of Digital Audio Workstations has given SSU the versatility when it comes to creating  ideas on the go.  SSU is known for his works with Lukan Raisey, Chris RL and South Auckland native Hip hop Duo SHEDLYTE.



Brandon Haru

Brandon Haru is a multi-instrumentalist and award-winning producer for the likes of Ladi6, Vallkyrie, @peace and Niko Walters. Haru explores and experiments with new forms of musical expression, always looking to the essence of his cultural roots. Haru’s talent has been recognised globally, with US production legend Timbaland singing praises of the New Zealand producer.


Niko Walters

Niko Walters is fast-becoming a household name on the NZ music scene. While his brother is a part of the biggest Kiwi band of modern times (Six60), Niko is pathing his own way with his solo career. He draws inspiration from the likes of Matt Corby, Bon Iver and Anderson Paak with the main objective of simply making “beautiful sounding music.” And he’s done just that with his first two tracks.


Rel Pham

Rel Pham is a Designer, Animator, Illustrator originally from Sydney, Australia but now residing in Melbourne. Known for a strong use of electric, vibrant colours and a penchant for surrealism. His work combines and contrasts old and new mythology. Whether through surreal animations or paintings of monoliths, computers and objects that look like alien still lifes. Each piece explores culture and tradition, juxtaposing old world fables and rituals with new stories and ideas.
