The Role:

The Summary objective of the Tour Operations Manager role is to:

  • Be responsible for overseeing the ticketing operations for each tour as well as the selling of tickets, ticketing packages, and other revenue driving opportunities. 
  • Project manage individual tours alongside the promoters, and provide general assistance in key day-to-day matters.
  • Act as a conduit between the promoter team and the broader office
  • Manage and oversee all LNA wide process and systems relating to successful tour operations.
  • Develop a professional familiarity with key agent & management clients
  • Lead the coordination and development of strategic and commercial planning associated with ticketing for tours, with a focus on maximising revenue generation through inventory management, creative ticketingsolutions, within the overall Tour plan. 
  • Be responsible for proactively identifying opportunities to maximise tour profit, daily inventory management, analysing and reporting tour sales, and ticket distribution.

What you’ll be doing: 

Tour Operations Overview

  • Work with promoter to develop initial tour pricing, booking on-sale plan, confirming production, building events, managing on-sale period, reporting, overseeing event day/night, post event settlement. Ensuring optimal tour launch, fan experience and commercial return.
  • Assist in general day to day requirements of the Promoters, including but not limited to project managing individual tours, assisting in liaison with agents, sales reporting and general assistance.
  • Assist in the review of artist contracts, execute appropriate amendments where standard and liaise with Legal as required to confirm mutually agreed artist contracts between Promoter and agent.
  • In conjunction with Finance, create contracts and invoices for “sell offs” for relevant tours

Tour Administration

  • Administer and assist in producing tours as required by the Promoters.
  • Review and critique tour offer confirmations against offer letters as required, advising talent buyers and/or agents of discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Review and execute venue contracts against tour budgets and execute and return contracts in consultation with relevant Promoter.
  • In conjunction with Finance, provide assistance in maintaining individual tour folders, ensuring an audit compliant system that includes final offer letter, offer approval, artist contract, sell off agreements and venue contracts.
  • Assess tour pricing and ticket inventory to identify and coordinate opportunities with an emphasis on efficient ticketing management and generating additional revenue –including allocation of inventory to such initiatives as premium pricing, VIP, promotions, and/or partner related activity.
  • Management of Sales, Avails, Holds, Complimentary Tickets, Partner Tickets, VIPs, House Seats, Industry Tickets, Venue Holds, On-sellers etc.
  • Ticket sales reports and providing insights in to sales performance and identifying revenue gaps.
  • Guest lists, management at venues as required including box office issues, venue/seating inspections, optimising the house, attendance reports, tour management tickets and reports
  • Active ongoing involvement in developing efficiencies and evolving Live Nation internal processes such as tour announcements, schedules for the dissemination of promotional collateral and online schedules, and assist with the integration of these processes into the brand partnership communications.

Work-Flow Planning:

  • Ensure that Tour Confirmations and Itineraries are completed and circulated in a timely manner in order to ensure key information is provided to relevant departments
  • Collate and communicate regular updates from all Promoter/Talent buyers as to prospective touring product to ensure stakeholders are aware of developments as relate to planning and other activities by way of “Work Flow Planning Meetings”
