Wanted: Social Media Account Manager

Due to business growth, Milkbar Digital is looking for a Social Media Account Manager to manage accounts across our portfolio of fashion, food, health, hospitality and lifestyle brands.

We are looking for an energetic and switched-on passionate marketer with a natural flair for all things social.

Ideally, you will come with 2+ years of experience in a similar role and are used to managing several brands/clients at once – you’re used to having a lot of plates in the air!

We are looking for someone who is a natural communicator, has experience working with numerous stakeholders and can deliver across multiple elements of a branded social media platform.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Social media strategy – You’ll be well versed in thinking strategically and understanding how a brand can effectively use social media to meet business objectives and KPIs.
  • Account management – You will be equipped with professional communication skills (written and verbal) and be able to bring a smile to all of your clients’ faces. You understand how to put together an agenda, respond to a brief and feel confident presenting to a room of strangers. You also understand how to prioritise, manage your time and meet deadlines. A large part of this role will also involve working with the wider Milkbar team and communicating briefs, priorities and deadlines.
  • Paid Ad Buying, Analysis and Reporting – Understanding key metrics, working to budgets and generating monthly reports for your clients will be part of your daily grind. If you’re not already across Ads Manager, you will become very well acquainted.
  • Copywriting – You will have excellent attention to detail, strong skills in grammar/spelling/punctuation and a keen understanding of branded tone of voice.
  • Content planning, creating and publishing – Any experience in the Adobe Suite will be advantageous, as will having a natural eye for design and creative.
  • Creative campaign brainstorming – You’ll always be paying attention to what other brands are doing in the market, and be a creative thinker who can come up with exciting and fresh social media marketing ideas.

  • Previous social media experience – agency or client side
  • High attention to detail
  • Incredible time management skills & ability to work to quick deadlines – we love making lists at Milkbar and we cannot stress enough that we work at an extremely fast pace!
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Fast learner, agile and adaptable
  • Genuine passion for digital and social media marketing
  • Love of all the latest pop culture trends – you binge watch Netflix and YouTube, know who’s touring right now, who the latest influencers to watch are, and love a clever marketing campaign
  • A natural eye for design, branding and aesthetics
