The Senior Account Manager is responsible for the management of event bookings, from initial
consultation to execution and installation. The role involves liaising with external clients when they
enquire products and services for their events, and offering expertise, style advice and suggestions
based on product knowledge and event expertise. The Senior Account Manager has a strong
knowledge of the Simply Seated inventory as well as system processes, with a strong attention to
detail and excellent organisation skills. The role requires strong communication skills with both
external clients and colleagues, in the timely and accurate management of all logistics, operational
and scheduling activities. The duties outlined in this position description may vary from time to time
depending on the evolving needs of the business.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Management of a wide range of events, including but not limited to corporate functions,
weddings, public and private events.
• Lead the Sales team and be the main point of contact for training and development, work
allocation, enquiries and problem solving.
• Contribute to management meetings and identify improvements to increase efficiencies
through strategic initiatives.
• Strong internal and external stakeholder engagement to manage the flow of information
between sales and operations to ensure fulfillment of all orders
• Developing strong relationships with new and existing clients. Seek new business
opportunities, and drive sales
• Acquiring new business along with maintaining and growing a portfolio of existing clients
• Managing event set-ups, bump ins/outs and deliveries including styling requirements,
logistics, crew briefings and internal and external client management
• Coordinating with internal teams, external suppliers, and venue managers to ensure smooth
bump in/outs
• Working with internal marketing and custom production teams to create custom event
collateral and custom-built feature items i.e., media walls, printed branding requirements,
ceiling features and custom-built activations
• Responding to all enquiries through email and phone in a timely manner
• Completing all invoicing and providing accurate quotes as required in a timely manner
• Attending to client consultations via phone, emails, showroom meetings in a courteous and
professional manner.
