ClassBento is a funded tech platform creating a community marketplace for fun workshops, activities and leisure experiences both in-person and online. We currently enable art, craft and food & beverage providers to connect with anyone across Australia wanting to learn everything from flower crown making to candle making; from cooking classes to pottery. About the role

You will report directly to our E-Commerce Manager. This role is responsible for leading and executing creative development and producing high-quality outputs for all marketing channels, along with managing and nurturing a junior graphic designer to reach their full potential. Your goals will be to produce engaging creative that increases conversion, engagement, and reach, across all marketing and social channels.

Key responsibilities will include:

    • Conceptualising, ideating and executing integrated marketing campaigns, working across multiple media touchpoints with a clear understanding of best practices for every channel. You will manage our key marketing and creative campaigns from brief to delivery with design ideas that are backed up by insights.
    • Working closely with the wider marketing team, you will form visual plans for all social channels, ensuring content is on-brand, aligned with upcoming events and the overall visual strategy.
    • Keep ahead of social trends and use data from previous creatives as insights to achieve the most effective creative for all marketing channels. You’re interested in testing and monitoring the results of your designs and videos to measure post engagements, impressions and other relevant metrics across EDMs, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest etc.).
    • Take ownership of all digital-based design and execution of key style guides used in all communications with end users (social media style guides, video ads, image ads style guides etc.)
    • Familiarize yourself with the performance of your content pieces and prepare to apply solutions to future executions.
    • Assist with regular cross-functional communications and collaborate with the wider team on any upcoming events and product launches that require design and visual communication strategy.
    • Partner with the appropriate external agency or freelancer for any photography/videography content to ensure the highest level of creative quality, production and delivery, as required.
    • Organise and manage our global creative database with the support of a junior graphic designer.

Skills and Experience

    • Minimum 3-5 years experience in digital content creation roles
    • Highly skilled in key adobe applications (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign). Additional skills in motion graphics will be advantageous.
    • Digitally savvy and highly creative, you can produce content across multiple platforms with strong visual design skills leveraging typography, layout, compositions and motion to visually communicate (video ads and image ads for Facebook, Google and other social advertising channels). You are familiar with different video file formats, conversions and workflows
    • You have a strong content design portfolio to showcase your experience and creativity.
    • You are passionate about design, have a strong eye for detail and are comfortable taking control of a brief from concept right through to the finished product with short turnaround times.
    • Basic copywriting skills that make your designs all the more powerful!
    • You are an enthusiastic team player, receptive to team collaboration, and feedback. You’re always open to new ideas, eager to learn and expand your craft. You love finding solutions to complex challenges and you’re not afraid to jump on the tools to bring ideas to life.
    • You are highly organised, able to problem solve, multi-task, manage timelines, collaborative, accountable and results-driven.
    • You show care for those you interact with, you care deeply about the quality of your work and you take responsibility and accountability for your work with respect for others.
    • Minimum of 1-2 yrs in e-commerce, retail, travel, tourism, two-sided marketplaces companies or agencies supporting such clients
    • A degree in video editing, visual communication, graphics or a similar discipline


    • International expansion (preferably the UK and the US)
    • Basic knowledge of shooting video and stills
    • Working knowledge of Adobe Lightroom
    • Although not essential, a network of freelance resources with production and editing capabilities is beneficial
