Role Description

Leading independent music distributor GYROstream is seeking a proactive and strategic Events and Partnership Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in creating and managing brand partnership opportunities for our artists and orchestrating successful GYROstream and GROUP SPEED events. Based in Sydney, the manager will be responsible for developing and executing partnership strategies that enhance our brands and provide valuable opportunities for our artists and partners.

The job requires an exceptional project manager. A confident, enthusiastic and results-driven person who thrives on getting the details right through using good processes. You will be responsible for overseeing release campaigns, festival and event campaigns and working alongside artists and management, whilst managing external relationships with media, brands and creative teams.

POSITION OBJECTIVES

Develop and Secure Strategic Partnerships:

  • Identify and establish brand partnerships that enhance the visibility and market presence of GYROstream, GROUP SPEED, and associated artists, fostering mutually beneficial relationships.

Plan and Execute Successful Events:

  • Organize and manage high-quality events for GYROstream and GROUP SPEED, ensuring they meet business objectives, run smoothly, and provide memorable experiences for attendees.

Enhance Brand Visibility Through Promotions:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective promotional strategies for events and partnerships, maximizing reach and engagement across various platforms.

Achieve Financial and Performance Goals:

  • Manage event and partnership budgets efficiently, ensuring financial objectives are met while delivering a strong return on investment (ROI) and using performance data to continuously improve future initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and secure brand partnership opportunities for artists.
  • Develop strategic partnerships for GYROstream and GROUP SPEED events.
  • Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, maintaining strong relationships with partners.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events for GYROstream and GROUP SPEED from concept to completion.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, and coordination of event schedules.
  • Ensure all events are executed smoothly, providing a memorable experience for attendees and achieving business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies for events and partnerships.
  • Create engaging content and promotional materials to highlight events and partnerships across various platforms.
  • Leverage social media and other digital channels to maximize event visibility and attendance.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, artist relations, and external stakeholders, to align event and partnership goals with overall business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with artists, partners, and industry professionals.
  • Develop and manage budgets for events and partnerships, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Monitor expenses and negotiate contracts to optimize costs while maintaining quality.
  • Track and analyze the performance of events and partnerships, providing regular reports on outcomes and ROI.
  • Utilize feedback and performance data to improve future events and partnership strategies.
  • Contribute creative ideas and strategic insights to enhance events and partnerships.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate relevant insights into event and partnership strategies.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in event planning, partnership development, and project management.
  • Strong understanding of the music industry and brand partnership dynamics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Creative thinker with a knack for developing engaging and strategic initiatives.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media.
  • Experience in budget management and financial planning for events.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
  • A trend-spotting tastemaker, ideally with a passion for the music industry.
  • Flexibility to travel and work outside standard office hours as needed.
