PR Account Manager

Zilla & Brook Publicity is looking to appoint a mid-level Account Manager (with 5 years experience) to join our team.

The opportunity will suit a candidate with experience in and a passion for arts, hospitality and lifestyle public relations wishing to join a highly regarded consultancy with an enviable client list.

The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in public relations, either with an agency or working in-house. They will have excellent attention to detail and determination to succeed as part of a great team that loves what they do.

We are searching for an individual who has a developing media and influencer contact list, who has the ability to produce creative and newsworthy content and who can think outside the square.

Upon appointment, the successful applicant will join a cohesive team of seasoned PR professionals in an agency that offers a lively and results-driven working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy development for existing and new clients
• Writing and editing new business proposals, including strategy
• Assisting account managers to create and carry out successful campaigns for clients
• Day-to-day responsibilities include client liaison, the development and distribution of media materials, brainstorming creative ideas, media pitching and leveraging opportunities
• Media liaison
• Maintenance of media and influencer lists/contacts
• Providing the media with creative and newsworthy content
• Monitoring of media and social media for coverage and client opportunities
• Campaign evaluation and reporting
• Reporting to Director.

Requirements

• Positive, vibrant, can-do attitude
• At least 3-5 years public relations experience
• Existing national media, influencer and social media contacts
• Strong writing, communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to identify newsworthy angles and produce great news stories
• Understanding of all social media channels
• Passion to work in and contribute to a fast-paced and dynamic team
• A love for media
• Someone who can have fun!
