DL COMMS is looking for a PR star with a passion for news; a talented person currently studying or recently finished a PR/Communications/journalism degree or equivalent. Work from home with flexible hours!
This internship is a paid position. The person must be interested in working for a full 12 months and the position is available immediately. [Please note – the office closes down from Mid December to Mid January and there will be no work during this period.]
The position requires 20-30 hours commitment per week, which will be spread out across the five working days. The hours are flexible and you will be working from home. This position will suit someone who is mature and has a fantastic commitment to customer service.
The successful applicant will work from their own home office, which will allow them the freedom of juggling other responsibilities in their life (such as studying etc). DL COMMS will pay the monthly mobile phone bill of the successful candidate as well as an hourly rate.

These clients will keep you busy and expand your knowledge. The successful candidate will gain valuable client experience, be involved in the execution of campaigns, and gain a wealth of contacts and exposure within the media industry.
What DL COMMS expects of you
You need to be extremely hard working, passionate, dedicated and focused, and have a fun personality. This job will suit someone who is able to work at least 4 business working days per week.
As well as being a PR/Communications/journalism student, the successful candidate must be an avid consumer of Australian media. If you do not have a basic understanding of news, in all of its forms (TV, online, magazines, radio, newspapers, social media etc), you will not be considered for this position. In your cover letter, it is essential you can demonstrate your interest in news media.
You will not be expected to know every single outlet or social media channel, but you must have an appreciation and want to learn. It goes without saying, you must have excellent writing skills to be considered.
As the role will eventually involve speaking with media, the person must also have an outgoing personality, confidence and mature phone manner. Do not apply for this position if you do not have fire in the belly and an unstoppable demeanour.
