This is a 6 month casual contract based in SYDNEY 

The Support Operations Freelancer will play a critical role in maximizing users experience by testing digital content and features across Paramount’s branded sites and apps (BET, BET+, Comedy Central, CMT, MTV, VH1, Paramount, Smithsonian, TV Land and LOGO TV)

The candidate will be responsible for performing daily QA (Quality Assurance) across our content priorities, troubleshooting CMS and programming-related issues, supporting global Curation teams with content related questions, improving existing operational workflows, identifying troubleshooting efficiencies, and sharing best practices.

This role is based in Sydney and will report to the Manager of Support Operations in Los Angeles, California.

Working hours will be 09:00am – 6:00pm AEDT.



What you’ll do as a Support Coordinator:  


  • Work closely with Support Operations and Curation to cover day-to-day QA of live stream, event, episode, movie, and clip content, as well as new product features—testing appearance and functionality.
  • Publish near-live content
  • Work across multiple platforms simultaneously to ensure a consistent user experience.
  • Provide occasional off-hours QA coverage for live events and product launches.
  • Escalate issues to appropriate team members and follow them through to their resolution.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring of Slack channels, adding appropriate team members, troubleshooting, and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Maintain documentation of recurring issues and collaborate with Support Ops to optimize workflows accordingly.
  • Review recordings of Experience Operations calls to learn about new and existing product features, related documentation, and design/functionality.
  • Make necessary updates to the internal documentation hub (PrOps on WordPress).

  • Bachelor’s degree (or nearly completed degree) in Digital Media, or in a related field

  • Fluent in written and spoken English 

  • Experience working in a matrixed organization with team interdependencies 

  • Experience with multicultural work environments and attentiveness of matters relating to cultural diversity 

  • Proven experience with managing the testing efforts around high traffic sites/apps including live online events 

  • Strong skills to yield customer satisfaction  

  • Experience with Agile Development processes 

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet strict deadlines 

Extra Brownie points for:

  • At least 2+ years of digital media experience with a focus on content management systems 

  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance practices and ability to learn and adopt emerging concepts 

  • Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
