We are seeking a talented National Publicity Manager to join our marketing team to be part of the success for a wealth of ground-breaking artists including PNAU, Sunset Bros and FISHER, and international heavyweights Jax Jones and Loud Luxury to name but a few, as well as promoting a significant national events schedule for Ministry of Sound. The Role

As the owner of the publicity function across the business, this role champions the TMRW brand in Australia and internationally, promoting TMRW and our artists with key media channels with a strong focus on Australia and New Zealand. You will be have up-to-the-minute knowledge of the global dance/electronic music landscape and hold trusted relationships with key media to maximise promotional opportunities across all media outlets from dance radio and electronic blogs through to major on ground press tours.

  • Service relevant media with TMRW releases on a weekly basis (triple j, commercial radio, community radio, dance radio, press, blogs, TV)
  • Deliver thorough and convincing pitches for our content to create opportunities for releases
  • Closely manage and update current release schedule as necessary to support its successful delivery
  • Writing press releases
  • Collaborate closely with A&R team in creating publicity and promotional strategies for artists, singles and albums
  • Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key media through consistent communication
  • Set up and execute artist interviews and facilitate on ground promotional activity for artists in market
  • Deliver promotional and publicity plans as part of the overall marketing plan for releases
  • Share feedback from media channels in internal WIP meetings to inform overall business strategy, planning and next steps for campaigns
  • Engage in strong negotiations and influencing with media channels to achieve maximum airplay and exposure
  • Report weekly progress of media promotional schedule and strategy to the business
  • Responsible for increasing TMRW & etcetc radio chart share on a weekly basis
  • Weekly/fortnightly calls with key radio music directors
  • Pitch first plays to radio when appropriate
  • Host or attend formal and informal media presentations, gigs and social events
  • Provide post-promotional campaign analysis to relevant business areas (Marketing, A&R)
  • Ensure artist exposure is aligned to their priorities and needs
  • Tour and event publicity for TMRW Agency artists and events including Ministry of Sound

About You

  • Degree qualified in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations
  • Extensive understanding of the Australian music landscape across media, streaming and the wider record label ecosystem
  • Experience in dance/electronic music will be seen favourably
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Current network of key media contacts across digital, radio & television
  • A passionate music lover with proven success in generating opportunities for artists
  • Expert written communication skills
  • Experience dealing with artists, managers and agents
  • Confidence in building and maintaining relationships with media
  • Excellent time management skills
  • A sense of urgency when responding to media inquiries
