Phoenix Central Park is Sydney’s newest contemporary performance space and gallery promoting genuine artistic risk-taking and unique collaborations that are as bold as the building’s multi-award-winning architecture. As the singular vision of philanthropist Judith Neilson AM, well-known as the founder and owner of Sydney’s prized White Rabbit Gallery, Phoenix serves as a creative beacon for adventurous artists and audiences alike.

The team behind Phoenix is dedicated to giving artists space to be brave. We are in search of a new team member to amplify our work and encourage engagement with our live shows and digital commissions. If you love music and the arts, are organised, creative, have a good mind for marketing strategy and a keen eye for implementation, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

STRATEGY AND PLANNING

  • Assist in the design of digital marketing campaigns
  • Research and present free and paid promotional opportunities
  • Manage and report on budgets and campaign statistics

CREATIVE AND CONTENT

  • Create, curate and schedule content across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and TikTok to promote our live events, digital commissions and partnerships
  • Manage and maintain the Squarespace website
  • Build marketing assets on Photoshop and Premiere Pro
  • Write quality and engaging content for socials, weekly EDMs and website
  • Prepare, send and monitor EDMs on Mailchimp
  • Monitor and respond to social post interactions

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

  • Manage and cultivate close and effective working relationships with key internals and externals
  • Coordinate internal strategy to coincide with artist releases
  • Grow the online and live audience and report on increased engagement

TICKETING

  • Set up ballot pages for Phoenix shows
  • Set up ticketing pages for events

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES

  • Exceptionally organised and delivers to deadlines
  • Experience in music and performing arts sector
  • Live and breathe music, arts & culture
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Ability to create engaging social posts
  • Graphic design/image editing skills
  • Excellent knowledge of YouTube, Instagram, Stories, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tiktok, and other social media best practices and comfortable with project management tools such as Asana
  • Experience with ticketing
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
