Graphic Design Intern

We’re looking for an intern to join our creative studio in Sydney’s Inner West (Petersham). We work across two businesses: Georgia Draws A House & Soft Launch. We love this because it means our days are always different!

Soft Launch is a branding agency who’s focus is on hospitality. We design for bars, restaurants and clubs all across the country. Some of our recent favourite projects have been – branding AGNSW’s latest restaurant, creating a fish and chip pop up at the Opera House and revamping Skyfeast (a restaurant in the sky at the top of Centrepoint Tower). As an intern working with us on Soft Launch you can expect to do things like: updating menus, creating social media tiles, resizing graphics, designing content for annual events like Mardi Gras, Mother’s Day and NYE. 

Georgia Draws A House started as an illustration business but is now much more than that. We do workshops, sell kids books / cute merch and do super large murals across Sydney! As well as completely random work – recently we all went on a Bubble Tea tour of Burwood and then drew all the shops – (it was delicious)! An intern working with us on GDAH can expect to do things like: social media planning, creating instagram reels, TikTok things, mailing / order processing and some emailing.

We know interning with us is great fun, because our interns have never left! Isabella started as an uni-intern with us in 2019 and is now one of our full-time mid-weight designers. And Neha, who also started as an uni-intern is now our full-time junior!

What we expect:

???? To come to our studio 1-2 days per week
???? Proficient across Adobe Suite (InDesign & Illustrator)
???? Comfortable diving in to new programs (SquareSpace / Klaviyo / Flodesk / Shopify)
???? Willing to learn
???? Good attitude
???? Currently studying relevant Graphic Design Degree 
???? Great if you’re a student who needs to complete a Professional Experience Placement
