Foundation Theatres is an Australian family-owned theatre owner and operator. Our venues are two of Sydney’s premier theatres: The Capitol Theatre and Sydney Lyric. Across our venues we present large scale theatrical shows to over 30,000 patrons per week. Whilst the shows that we present offer unforgettable
theatrical experiences, our incredible team ensure that every part of the customer experience is just as magical.

We are a group of 35 full time employees and over 200 casuals who work closely together on a daily basis to deliver unforgettable theatre experiences to those that visit us. About the Position
– Role: Food & Beverage Supervisor
– Work Type: Permanent Part Time
– Location: Sydney Lyric, Pyrmont & Capitol Theatre, Haymarket, NSW
– Hours of work: The hours are generally between 5pm – 11pm Tuesday – Sunday, with day shifts on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
– The remuneration will be in accordance with the Live Performance Award.

What we are Looking for
– We are looking for passionate and energetic people to add to our already wonderful food & beverage leadership team. Working closely with a small, dedicated group, we are looking for all-rounders who love hospitality service, leading a team and working in a fast-paced environment.
– Applicants should be articulate, have a love for customer service and a genuine interest in the theatre.
– Ideal applicants will have at least 2 years’ experience in a customer service focused role.
– Your role will include elements such as
o Assisting the Food and Beverage Manager and Assistant Manager with running of the floor and
supervision of bar attendants during shifts
o Coach, mentor and motivate casual staff
o Ensuring the bars are ready set and fully stocked for service
o Manage RSA issues as arise
o Assist with management of stock and stocktake
o Deal with patron issues in an effective and timely manner
o Work on the bars alongside casual staff as required
o Manage functions, including Managing of VIP’s and VIP liaison within venue functions spaces, supervise function delivery
o Other duties as required

Selection Criteria
– A very high standard of personal grooming & appearance, and willingness to comply with a grooming policy of a first class venue commensurate with its brand recognition
– An outstanding customer service orientation and strong communication skill
– Have good availability and the ability to work nights and weekends on a standard roster dictated by the schedule for each hosted production.
– New South Wales RSA Qualification
– Experience with Point of Sale systems & EFTPOS
