Sndys is an established, Australian based, Internationally sold clothing brand carefully creating everyday to event wear of effortless, on trend shapes with a strong focus on quality fabrications and custom prints to tell our story. SNDYS is based out of Sydney’s Sutherland Shire, maintains a successful online retail store, works with an impressive list of Australian and International stockists like Revolve, Asos, General Pants and The Iconic. This exciting role will see you be a part of their global successes, working alongside the directors and a dynamic team.
This position is primarily responsible for working directly with the Head Designer in creating product for the brand. It encompasses analysing market trends, assisting with Overseas Factories communication, fabric sourcing, product development, measuring garments, assisting with the fitting of garments and production management. A perfect opportunity for new graduates to get a foot in the door within the fashion industry. Working alongside the Designer you will assist in all aspects of the end to end process of developing a range. Starting from design research, CAD sketches, assisting in fits and photoshoots to supporting the marketing and e-comm team. You will need to have exceptional CAD skills along with garment construction knowledge.
We are looking for someone who is creative, highly organised and enthusiastic about Sndys to collectively grow with us. Using your design knowledge and eye for trends while embracing our brand vision and identity to create collections with the team meeting our standard of quality and deadlines.
Ideal Candidates Must Possess
- A degree in Fashion & Design or in their final year
- Strong Photoshop skills
- Proficient use of Adobe Illustrator programs
- An eye on fashion trends including selecting fabrics, materials, colours and themes
- Strong style aesthetic
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within the team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced,ever changing environment.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
Within the role, you will be responsible for
- Design/Drive/Develop Collections
- Trend forecasting, building mood boards and market research for upcoming collections
- Liaise with overseas factory and Sndys staff
- Collaborating and brainstorming with Creative Director and team
- Product development from concept to final production
- Update and create seasonal collection overviews.
- Integral in helping the team to achieve targets, goals and deadlines.
- Contribute to design research, collaborate on ideas, and offer feedback
- Create CAD drawings and detailed tech packs and updates
- Assist in creating and updating Range boards and books.
- Quality check all newly arrived stock to ensure all garments have been produced correctly in accordance with production samples.
