We’re looking out for a Content & Social Media Creative to join our innovative, fast-paced & dedicated Marketing & Creative Department.

The Point currently consists of Sydney venues, the game changing 3 level, 4 venue Shell House in the CBD, the Surry Hills natural wine & pizza wonderland that is the Dolphin Hotel, the brand new modern greek Dining Room, Topikós on Bondi Beach, the fun and frivolous Harry’s in Surry Hills, and the imminent Fort Denison Sydney Harbour Project, with more exciting projects to come.

About the role:

We’re looking for a content weapon! If you love creating content & executing ideas then this is the perfect role for you. 

The ideal candidate for the position is someone who has a passion for hospitality & has previous experience managing social media. You’re looking to get a leg up in the hospitality industry while learning from the talented & passionate people around you. You will be working closely with our Digital Marketing Manager, Marketing Director & Creative Director on a range of digital projects, and assisting them with the day to day tasks that come with managing social media accounts.

You’ll be working with the Marketing team & will be taking care of the following: 

  • Content Creation – creating, sourcing & capturing engaging high-quality content
  • Copywriting & story telling “can spin a yarn” – alongside our team, you will be the voice of our brands and you must be a skilled storyteller with both your written words and your visual approach
  • Meticulously planning & scheduling posts week to week that follow our brand pillars & tone of voice on Facebook & Instagram & LinkedIn
  • Driving the content agenda by constantly searching for new avenues to push the envelope
  • Community management 
  • Assisting in the organic growth of our accounts – Using our social media platforms to expand our community
  • Liaise with venue staff & keeping up to date on promotions, events & bookings
  • Design & post high quality stories to the venue social media pages
  • Assist the Digital Marketing Manager in implementing social media strategies and analysing results & data

About you:

  • 3+ years experience in social media/marketing & or a similar position OR the relevant qualifications to go with it
  • Creative mind and an eye for design & photography
  • Basic skills in Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Indesign)
  • Handy with a camera (dslr)
  • Superb copywriting skills & experience writing for social media and online 
  • Love branding and have experience in managing several brands at one time
  • Ability to maintain brand & tone of voice across multiple brands 
  • Vast knowledge of Facebook & Instagram. Knowledge of other platforms is a plus
  • Have a love for social media – you love creating & taking content
  • Driven, can-do attitude 
  • Keen eye for detail & aesthetics
  • Passion & knowledge of the hospitality industry in Sydney
  • Ready to learn 
  • Love being socially active, enjoy good music, fashion, design, food, drink & wine
