About the role


We are currently seeking a Communications Advisor to join our Corporate Affairs team in North Sydney.

Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, the Communications Advisor will generate content for employee communications to build pride, increase engagement, drive change, and communicate our purpose, values, and strategy. You will also develop content for external channels, enhancing our brand and reputation.


Key accountabilities include:


  • Assist in the development of internal communication materials including employee announcements, internal newsletter articles, project features and success stories, and content for the intranet.
  • Develop content for external media channels, including owned and earned channels.
  • Contribute to change and transformation communication campaigns with oversight from Senior Communications Manager.
  • Support the Senior Communications Manager and Head of Communications in the delivery of their priorities.


About you


  • A strong writer – you’ll have the ability to produce high-quality written material in various formats to engage a range of audiences, with a talent for communicating complex ideas simply.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – you’ll excel at engaging with and building strong working relationships with team members and various stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to apply key messages to campaign materials to achieve communication objectives.
  • Understanding of how to create impactful content for different communication channels using different communication mediums.
  • An eye for detail.
  • Collaborative, proactive, solutions-oriented.
  • Highly organised and efficient – ability to juggle and prioritise various tasks at the same time through effective time management skills.
  • At least two years of communications experience in a corporate communications environment – either consulting or in-house. 
  • A qualification in Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, Marketing or relevant experience.
