Sydney

Posted 12 Jul 2022

Closes 11 Aug 2022

MKM represents creative artists in the performing arts. As a theatrical and literary agency, we strategically nurture and manage the careers of actors, writers, directors, choreographers, composers and other creatives, both locally and internationally.

This thriving Sydney-based theatrical management has a rare opportunity for an experienced artist advocate and contracts negotiator for stage and music theatre performer contracts. You work fast and accurately, have tenacity and integrity, and are a fun-loving, organised, resourceful, energetic, clever, calm, diplomatic and collaborative team player, ideally, with 2-3 years’ prior agent experience, and an understanding of MEAA/LPA award contracts. You love performers and the performing arts, and already have a connection to the arts industry, either in administration or through prior arts practice. You are an excellent problem solver, with strong written and verbal communication, and are competent in or can easily acquire the required computer skills for this kind of role.

Your duties will include:

attending screenings and opening nights/performances and supporting artists in all aspects of their professional theatrical career, including promoting artists for project and understanding and marketing their specific skills; creating marketing materials for artists; fostering, developing and managing positive producer and casting director relationships; managing and coordinating artists’ schedules (auditions/recalls); negotiating fees and agreements; contract management; invoicing; monitoring payments and working closely with colleagues to ensure artists maximise cross-genre opportunities.

We celebrate diversity and are committed to building a culture that values the unique contributions of all people, so we encourage applications from individuals of all ages, backgrounds and identities.

To apply, please send your resume and tell us something about yourself to mkm@mollison.com
